Dell Latitude 5480 Refurbished i5 7th Gen 8GB 256GB

Dell Latitude 5480 Refurbished — Overview

The Dell Latitude 5480 is the classic workhorse business laptop: a 7th-gen Intel Core i5-7300U, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB SSD in a tough, service-friendly 14-inch chassis. It is the machine thousands of UAE offices already know — built to be opened, upgraded, and repaired, which is exactly why it stays the best-value refurbished laptop for students, shop counters, and office fleets.

Every unit is professionally refurbished at our Sharjah facility: fully tested, cleaned inside and out, SSD health-checked, and covered by our 12-month warranty. At AED 489, this refurbished Dell Latitude 5480 is AED 10 below techorigins.ae’s AED 499.99 for the same i5-7300U / 8GB / 256GB configuration — with a real written warranty and local after-sales support.

Who is the Latitude 5480 for?

• Students — under AED 500 for a real business laptop with a 14″ anti-glare screen, comfortable keyboard, and upgradeable parts.
• Office fleets and shop counters — the 5480’s legendary serviceability (RAM, SSD, and battery all easily replaceable) makes it ideal for POS, billing, and back-office machines.
• Second-machine buyers — a dependable backup laptop for home or travel at the price of a tablet.
• Budget-first businesses — genuine TPM 2.0 security and Windows 11 Pro-ready hardware at entry-level refurbished pricing.

Key specifications

Why the 5480 is still the smart budget buy

Shoppers comparing the Dell Latitude 5480 price in Dubai will see cheaper listings — but check the fine print: older 6th-gen chips, worn batteries, or “no warranty” conditions. Our refurbished Dell Latitude 5480 is the 7th-gen i5-7300U model with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, health-tested battery, and our full 12-month warranty. Against techorigins.ae’s AED 499.99 for the identical configuration, ours is AED 10 cheaper — and you collect or receive it from our Sharjah store with a real team on WhatsApp, not an anonymous courier drop.

Newer isn’t always better value: the 5480’s parts are cheap and plentiful, every technician in the UAE knows how to service one, and its full-size ports (VGA, RJ45, 3× USB-A) mean no dongles. For office work, study, and everyday browsing, it does everything a used laptop in the UAE under AED 500 needs to do.

Refurbished condition and 12-month warranty

The SSD is health-checked, Windows is freshly installed and activated, and the machine is deep-cleaned inside and out.

You get a 12-month warranty covering parts and labour, a written invoice, and free diagnosis if anything ever goes wrong. We offer 10-day returns and deliver across Dubai and Sharjah — order on WhatsApp and pay on delivery.

Why buy from Khaleej Electronics

Marketplaces show strikethrough “new” prices to manufacture fake discounts. We do it differently: our refurbished price is AED 10 below techorigins.ae’s actual price for the same i5-7300U / 8GB / 256GB configuration — no theater, just a real discount. You buy from our Sharjah store with a real team on WhatsApp at +971 506 757 156, a written 12-month warranty, and free delivery across Dubai and Sharjah.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 7th-gen i5 laptop still enough in 2026?

For office work, study, browsing, and video calls — yes. The i5-7300U with 8GB RAM and an SSD handles Word, Excel, dozens of browser tabs, and Zoom smoothly. It is not a gaming or video-editing machine, but as a work/study laptop it remains excellent value at AED 489.

What is the difference between the Latitude 5480 and 5490?

The 5490 moves to an 8th-gen quad-core chip (i5-8350U), roughly 30–40% faster in multi-core work. We stock both — choose the 5490 if you multitask heavily, and the 5480 if you want the lowest honest price with a full warranty.

Can the RAM and SSD be upgraded on the 5480?

Easily — that is the 5480’s superpower. Two DDR4 slots (up to 32GB) and a standard SSD slot, all reachable with a screwdriver. Many of our customers add RAM later as their needs grow.

What battery and charger does it use?

The 68Wh battery is health-tested during refurbishment, and the laptop ships with an original Dell 65W barrel-pin charger. Note: the 5480 charges via the round barrel plug, not USB-C.

What is included in the box?

You receive the refurbished Dell Latitude 5480, an original Dell 65W charger, a licensed Windows installation, and a written invoice with your 12-month warranty terms. Delivery is available across Dubai and Sharjah.
